Fact Sheet - General Practitioners

This fact sheet provides GPs and nurse practitioners in a primary care settings with evidence-based information, knowledge, tools and resources to enable them to better identify and support patients with unresolved trauma in their daily practice.

It highlights the diverse ways in which people have experienced childhood trauma and abuse and the physical and mental health challenges which can be underpinned by complex trauma.

It stresses the possibility of recovery when people receive positive personal and professional support which enables survivors to build on their strengths.
