Survivors of Child Abuse

“Towards recovery” is a short video for survivors of all forms of childhood trauma and abuse. It has been developed by survivors, as well as those who support them professionally and personally.

The video features a number of survivors, of either gender, speaking frankly about both the challenges of their personal journeys as well as about what has helped them in their recovery. While not shying away from the tough issues, dark times, health, mental health, relationship and everyday life difficulties, this video also promotes hope and optimism. A number of people who work with survivors every day in professional practice settings present the evidence, sound knowledge and information which attest to the importance of healing healthy relationships, both personal and professional to build on survivor strengths to support the recovery journey.
