Primary Care Practioners

“Responding to adult survivors of complex trauma” is a video for ‘Primary care practitioners’.

It is intended to raise awareness around the presence of unresolved trauma in patients with diverse presentations in primary care settings. Featuring the voices of survivors and practitioners this short video supports GPs and nurse practitioners in their daily practice.

It provides information including about trauma dynamics, physiological responses to stress, coping strategies, as well as tools which are useful for busy primary care practitioners.

With greater awareness, knowledge and tools primary care practitioners will be better equipped to support large numbers of patients with unrecognised and unaddressed complex trauma.
