National childhood trauma organisation officially launches new corporate identity to reflect expanded role

Blue Knot Foundation, formerly known as Adults Surviving Child Abuse (ASCA), the leading national organisation working with adult survivors of childhood trauma including abuse, today on 11 April 2016 announced its new name. Blue Knot Foundation’s revamped corporate identity aligns more closely with the organisation’s expanded brief as well as its vision for the future.

In rebranding to Blue Knot Foundation, the change signals the maturing of community awareness around trauma and parallels the organisation’s growth and leadership in this area. Blue Knot Foundation delivers a comprehensive range of critical services including its specialist Blue Knot Helpline, educational workshops, professional development training, supervision, consultancy and other services.

President of the Blue Knot Foundation, Dr Cathy Kezelman AM, said,Blue Knot Foundation more rightfully reflects our core mission, which is to support the recovery of adult survivors of all forms of childhood trauma, not only childhood abuse.”

Further to this, the rebrand encapsulates the powerful resonance of Blue Knot Day – the organisation’s national awareness day – within the Australian community,” Dr Kezelman said.

The organisation’s specialist Blue Knot Helpline number remains the same and offers help and support from 9.00am - 5.00pm, Monday through to Sunday.

Blue Knot Foundation’s artwork is harmoniously aligned with its previous logo, which features a tangled knot, symbolising the complexity of childhood trauma. Blue Knot Foundation helps adult survivors who have experienced all forms of childhood trauma to recover and ‘untangle’ this knot.

Help and support is available from the Blue Knot Helpline on 1300 657 380, 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday – Sunday, or visit the Blue Knot Foundation website: www.blueknot.org.au
