Fact sheet for survivors

If you were abused or traumatised as a child this fact sheet can help you understand more about what happened to you, how it might have affected you and some options for what you can do now.

This fact sheet is based on the latest research. It includes information about childhood trauma and abuse, its different forms, how it can affect people. It also describes the ways people respond to stress and the coping strategies some survivors use. The fact sheet is one of a suite of resources to support survivors on their healing journey.
